beginners welcome

hi guys, tiffin here. i know sometimes it is hard to step out of your comfort zone and try something new creatively. i know some of you are thinking that you would love to attend our retreat, but have no painting experience. well, i am here to tell you that you don't need painting experience, not one little bit.

i sew like crazy, hand stitch, craft, collage with paper, draw, etc, but one thing i never did until this year was paint. frankly, i just didn't need one more art product filling up my already packed studio :)

then i attended one of jenni's painting something classes and all that changed. her technique and easy to understand instructions made a painter out of me. truly! the above suitcase was my first piece and i think i was hooked from the start.

the second time around i painted this bunch of tulips. i think they are still waiting for a few words somewhere in the vivid blue sky, but i'm still working on that.

the moral of this post is that everyone has to start somewhere. and i am proud to say that after these two successes, i now have a few paint tubes lining a shelf in my studio and i smile every time i get them out.

who knows, you might turn into a painter yourself after a weekend spent with Southern Circle Retreats.
